The taste is a true flavour explosion ranging from sweet-spicy-tangy courtesy the many condiments and we’re not talking about mustard, tomato ketchup or mayonnaise. Be adventurous!

Bake and shark - the simple version |
Here’s how we make our Bake and Shark - you’re allowed the usual lettuce, tomato and cucumber but you must add the tamarind sauce, garlic sauce, chadon beni (cilantro), tartar sauce, mango chutney and hot pepper for the really adventurous one. Top it off with some pineapple and get ready for an explosion of flavours. It’s no wonder world famous food expert Andrew Zimmern describes it as “the best fish sandwich I’ve ever eaten and I’m as serious as a heart attack”

Now this is a bake and shark! Any toppings? Yes please!

Proud of his catch! |
Quick Tip: Some people say too many different sauces will spoil the taste. Here’s the thing, the more, the better! And whatever doesn’t fit on the sandwich, take it to go.
“All time top ten favourite foods . . . not just of this trip . . . not just of this year . . . EVER!” – (TV Host Andrew Zimmern of ‘Bizarre Foods’, Travel Channel)

ReplyDeleteI love bake and shark and I'm not ashamed to say that sometimes I go Maracas just for that and I don't step foot in the water.
ReplyDeleteIt has been too long since I was last in T&T, but I still salivate when I think of the bake and shark at Maracas!
